SAHARA CITY HOMES
Destined to revolutionise the way of life
Sahara City Homes, a project of Sahara Infrastructures and Housing, is the
world’s largest chain of self-sufficient, high-quality townships planned in 217

his dream forward and giving meaning to his vision is his son Sushanto Roy who,
as Head of Sahara Infrastructure and Housing, is realising and structuring the
project under his able guidance.

The product mix exemplifies a perfect combination of high-rises, mid-rises, row
houses, semi-detached houses and independent bungalows of premium specification.
The high- rise apartments with nine floors over stilt will have apartments along
with penthouses. These apartments ensure a clear view of surroundings, foolproof
security and symbolise community living.
Mid-rise buildings stand on six floors above the stilt with duplex apartments,
and exemplify fine art of designing, capture modern virtues of living and
magnify the comfort levels while making a statement of style and elegance. The
row houses reflect the traditional ethos of living independently and yet being
attached propagates community living among residents. Independent semi-detached
houses specially crafted for the affluent offer an integrated management system
gives an impetus to adoption of qualitative dimensions. Under this, Sahara City
Homes is planned according to ISO 9001 for quality management system, ISO 14001
for environment management system, OHSAS18001 for occupational health and
safety, and SA 8000 for social accountability.
EIA certification
Another highlight of Sahara City Homes is that these are the only township
projects in India that have received EIA (Environment Impact Assessment)
certification from central MoFF (Ministry of Environment and Forest).
Five Sahara City Homes townships, namely Ahmedabad, Indore, Lucknow, Jhansi and
Gwalior, have already received EIA certifications.
As an extra safety measure for maximum protection of life and property from
earthquake, every construction is designed one level higher than the applicable
seismic zone as per specifications of Bureau of Indian Standards. For more
